MIDWEST CYCLOTOURING bicycle tours presents:

Cycling through the Midwest and Mississippi Valley!

LODGING-list will be updated December 1.

For those participants who prefer not to camp either indoors or out, we offer this list of suggested motels/Bed & Breakfasts.  Past riders have found them to be more than acceptable, but RTFL is not responsible for the quality of their service or facilities.  You are free to seek out other choices, but the establishments on this list are the ONLY lodgings to which we will transport those who have paid the optional motel luggage/shuttle fee.

Saturday & Tuesday:

Saturday June 2, the night of check-in, and Tuesday June 5, when we overnight in the small town of New Madrid, which is too small to have any motels, you will be staying in Sikeston, Missouri.  Saturday night, you will still have access to your vehicle, so you may use it to get to your motel.  On Tuesday night, Sikeston is about 20 miles from the overnight stop in New Madrid, so motel shuttle service will be needed to transport you there and back.  Our lodging choice for you in Sikeston is:

Holiday Inn Express  115 Hospitality Dr, Sikeston, MO 63801  573-475-9522

Be sure to reserve rooms for both June 2 and June 5 at the same time.

Sunday & Monday:

Sunday June 3 and Monday June 4 we will be overnighting in the community of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Less than a quarter mile from the main campsite at the Arena Park is the Town House Inn motel.  Very basic but clean.  It's an easy walk or bike ride away, making it very convenient to come and go since we will be staying two consecutive days and nights.  A Huddle House restaurant is immediately adjacent, with several others a short distance away.  To reserve rooms here for both Sunday and Monday nights, contact:

Town House Inn  505 North Kingshighway Cape Girardeau, Missouri 63701  573-335-2700

Wednesday & Thursday:

Wednesday night June 6 and Thursday night June 7 we will be staying in Hickman, Kentucky.  Again, this community is too small to support a motel, so we will need to use accommodations at Reelfoot Lake, approximately 20 miles to the southwest.  Once again shuttle transportation will be the only practical way for you to commute back and forth during the two days we will be in Hickman.  To provide the best mix of lodging choices in this fisherman's resort area, we are offering a list of three lodgings from which to choose, two resort motels and a bed & breakfast.  Again, reserve for both nights on the same call!
